OM617 Glo Plug Replacement

OM617 Glo Plug Replacement

In a nutshell: remove the fuel delivery rail to get it out of the way and you'll save half an hour.

Changing glo plugs is not a whole lot different that changing spark plugs on a vergasser. The glo plugs even look about he same as spark plugs. But they're down the side of the engin and the fuel delivery rail is seriously in the way:

But, the rail is easily removed. Just undo the bolts at each end, take it off and turn it upside down and rest it on the air cleaner and cover with a rag.

Now you'll find it very very easy to get a wrench on the glo plugs, especially that elusive #5 plug at the back.
