• Dick marcotte says: I did to my ponton as well as the 64 1/2 mustang was to sandblast the undercarriage and then apply roofing cement (tar) diluted with mineral spirits to a consistency of Vaseline and brushed it on.In the impossible to get at places I use a modified spray gun with a long nozzle and applied 2 diluted coats. Also the bare surface was treated with a metal conditioner prior to sealing it.
